Women make up more than half of the world’s population. Yet we are still undermined and treated differently- by people of the opposite sex but not only, sometimes even by each other. We are a reflection of what society has always taught us and it is time to break free. It’s time to debunk the whole idea that we need to be in competition with one another. Let’s support each other and continue to learn and grow together!
By educating yourself on relevant information and news you will be able to share that knowledge with others as well. Knowledge is always power and it goes a long way, especially in our world today. There are great resources to make sure you keep up to date: between digital/print news platforms, podcasts, documentaries and books.
It’s also important to know where other people stand on woman issues. You probably don’t want to vote for someone, support their brand or follow them on social media if they are bashing women’s rights.
There are so many amazing organizations and corporations out there that are working hard to help and support women in the world. You can volunteer your time to help in any way you can. If you aren’t into volunteering you could host a fundraising event for an organization of your choice. Use your social media platforms to raise awareness on current problems, sign petitions and bring about change.
SUPPORT OTHER WOMEN
Support the women around you, your friends, co-workers, new woman you meet! There’s no reason to feel threatened or feel like you are in a competition right off the bat when meeting someone of the same sex. Be inspired by each other and encourage one another to continue to work hard and turn dreams into reality!
There’s so much going on just outside your doorstep so imagine all that’s going on around the world! It’s important to gain a global perspective and learn more about the issues happening in other places. Not only will you gain new perspectives but you will experience diversity. This helps you gain a different outlook on the world. You could travel with an organized group or organization or plan a trip with friends and family!
We happen to live in a world dominated by money. Money is one of the most important resources to enact change and to make a difference. It’s the foundation of every venture and project. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Make sure to do extensive research before committing your funds to anything. Be sure that it is something that you want to support and be a part of.
“Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.” – G.D. Anderson
