Our society still see dancing as a girl’s activity, while little boys would be off playing soccer. This year’s World Cup showed anyone with a doubt that women can play soccer just as well and #boysdancetoo is proving men belong in the dance community. Here is a list of 6 male dancers to follow on Instagram.

On September 22, Lara Spencer, host of Good Morning America, made fun of Prince George’s schedule including ballet dancing which he reportedly “absolutely loves.” Her comments towards the British prince made the dance community angry and many male dancers shared their stories of bullying (or simply images of their art) online with #boysdancetoo. Lara Spence has apologized (at least twice) but the #boysdancetoo has kept on being trending, showing the scope of discrimination towards male dancers. On Monday, 300 dancers took part in a flashmob outside the GMA studios on Times Square. Some male dancers are proving everyday on Instagram that, yes, #boysdancetoo.
